Grant Opportunities for Nonprofits

Our grant programs are designed to support nonprofit organizations addressing the most pressing needs in our community. We offer funding through two primary grant opportunities:

Community Impact Grants

Supporting nonprofit initiatives that drive positive change.

Year-Round Grants

Year-Round Grant Opportunities

Share your vision and funding needs via our online portal. The Donor Response Program Grant and Rapid Response Program Grant are year-round grant opportunities for local nonprofits in the Greater Fayette Service Area.

Both funding opportunities use the same online grants portal. If you have any trouble logging in or creating an account, please contact info@greaterfayette.com.

Donor Response Program

Connecting local nonprofits with the interests and passions of GFCF fundholders. This year-round, donor-directed opportunity supports community projects that align with donor priorities.

  • Who can apply: 501(c)(3) organizations or collaboratives serving communities within the Greater Fayette Community Foundation service area.
  • When: Apply anytime (one request per 12 months)
  • Process: GFCF reviews requests quarterly and matches them with donor interests

Rapid Response Program

Providing quick-turn support for urgent needs related to the Red Door Fund for Mental Health, Green Door Fund for Workforce & Education, and Rural Community Health Fund initiatives. Designed for time-sensitive requests, these grants prioritize speed, trust, and flexibility.

  • Award amount: Up to $1,000 per organization per request
  • Review time: Within 5–7 business days
  • Availability: Rolling basis until all funds are awarded
  • Geography: Open to eligible nonprofits across the Greater Fayette Community Foundation service area.
