The Dickey Museum & Multipurpose Center, in partnership with Texas Catalyst, will host its upcoming Community Health Conversation, featuring a Medicare Basics Educational Workshop facilitated by Texas Catalyst. As we approach the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, October 15–December 7, 2026, this workshop will help Medicare beneficiaries, caregivers, and individuals preparing for Medicare better understand Medicare Parts A, B, C (Medicare Advantage), and D (prescription drug coverage), Original Medicare, Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans, and important enrollment periods.
Participants will also learn about important factors to consider when reviewing Medicare coverage, including provider networks, prescription medications, premiums, deductibles, copayments, and other out-of-pocket costs. The workshop will provide a welcoming environment for participants to ask questions, strengthen their understanding of Medicare, and gain practical information to help them make informed healthcare coverage decisions during the Annual Enrollment Period.
