H.O.M.E. Center Team Certified

Area of Impact: Nonprofit Services

About the Event

H.O.M.E. Center team members, Holly Banski and Hannah Durrance, completed the Community Health Worker Training Program. They received training through PromoSalud and completed their site supervision hours at H.O.M.E. Center. This training program provides students with the skills needed to advocate for and provide medical knowledge to community members who struggle to access medical care. Fayette Rural Foundations has funded a portion of the training expenses for our team to work directly with clients, including providing resources, transportation to medical appointments, and providing direct services like co-pays for medical expenses, prescriptions, and food support. Our team was excited to have this opportunity to work with PromoSalud and to expand the services we are able to provide to our clients.
