Dear friends,
In the wake of the devastating floods that struck Kerr County over the July 4th holiday, our community responded with compassion and urgency. Thanks to your local generosity, we have been able to raise over $52,000 through the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund at GFCF over the last 3 weeks.
100% of contributions were channeled to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, where they are already helping to meet urgent needs and support long-term recovery. This is a powerful example of the role community foundations play in reducing the burden on frontline responders and making it easier for donors to give with confidence.
A special thank you goes out to our local business partners—La Grange Brewing Co., Round Top Brewing Co., and FayCo Printing—who helped amplify this effort and reflect the spirit of generosity that defines our region.
While the immediate crisis may have passed, the road to recovery in Kerr County will be long. The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has already distributed millions in emergency grants, and the needs continue to grow. We remain committed to standing alongside our friends in the Hill Country and supporting their recovery journey.
Thank you for being part of a community that shows up when it matters most. Your trust in GFCF allows us to respond quickly, act strategically, and give generously—together.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Susannah Mikulin
