Empowering Nonprofits. Expanding Impact.

Rural nonprofits play a crucial role in delivering essential services—from healthcare and education to housing and advocacy. Yet, limited resources and geographic barriers often make it difficult for organizations to access the knowledge, training, and support they need to thrive.

That’s where the Rural Nonprofit Networking Group (RNNG) comes in. RNNG is led by, and exists for, the local nonprofits in our rural region. Our hope is to support your organization in achieving its mission through professional learning and community building.

We provide rural nonprofit leaders with the tools, connections, and professional development opportunities necessary to strengthen their organizations, share best practices, and drive sustainable impact.

How RNNG Helps Your Rural Nonprofit Succeed

We are here to invest in your growth and resilience, RNNG aims to provide resources so you can continue to serve your community effectively today and in the future. RNNG meetings are FREE and open to nonprofit leaders of all sizes. Whether you have a large staff or a small volunteer base, we believe you’ll find value in our sessions.

What Nonprofit Leaders are Saying about RNNG

Building strong relationships is at the heart of our work. Through RNNG, you not only connect with one another but also deepen their ties to the communities you serve. These connections have sparked new programs, partnerships, and collaborations that strengthen organizations and enhance their impact. Beyond professional growth, RNNG provides a supportive space where nonprofit leaders can share challenges, celebrate successes, and uplift one another along the way.

“RNNG has truly made an impact not only on myself as an Executive Director, but on our organization. Every month I look forward to getting to learn & grow with my fellow nonprofit leaders.”

Destiny Spitak, Turtle Wing Foundation

“The Rural Non-Profit Networking Group is one of the best meetings I attend every month. Part networking, part education, part hanging out with your coolest colleagues/friends, I always take away a little nugget of information that I can use to increase our agency’s impact within the community.  I am fortunate to be serving on the RNNG Council to ensure that these meetings and events are relevant and beneficial for the local non-profit community as a whole.”

Deanna Lowrey-Green, Combined Community Action

“The opportunity to share and connect with nonprofit professionals who understand the unique challenges of rural nonprofits has been an invaluable experience. I’ve made it a point to stay involved no matter how far away my work may take me! Now, as a council member, I’m excited to help shape RNNG’s future and support local organizations.”

Brooke Garcia, University of Houston- Victoria Nonprofit Center
