Must be a graduating senior or taking a gap year after high school. You must also attend a high school or homeschool program within 80 miles of La Grange, TX.

This is a $2,500 scholarship, awarded annually for all four years of undergraduate study, offering financial assistance to a graduating senior or a student taking a gap year after high school. Eligible applicants must be from a high school or homeschool program within 60 miles of La Grange, TX, and plan to pursue higher education at an accredited university, college, or trade school. Factors considered include community service and volunteer activities, financial need, a strong academic record, and the applicant’s character. Priority will be given to students who are not in the top ten percent of their class, but all applicants are encouraged to apply.

Description
The FCF ML Scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating La Grange High School students pursuing education and training beyond high school at an accredited university or college, with priority given to students pursuing STEM degrees or attending The University of Texas at Austin, Rice, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, or Stanford (if they demonstrate financial ability to attend for four years). This 2025 scholarship offers up to $20,000 in funding, supporting students through completion of their undergraduate degree or up to five years, with funds disbursed in equal amounts at the start of fall and spring semesters. Summer funding is generally not provided, though a one-semester break may be allowed for extenuating circumstances.

Required Documents
Transcripts
- High school students must submit an official 7-semester transcript (includes fall semester grades) and dual credit transcript if applicable
- College students must submit an official transcript of their most recently completed college courses
ACT and/or SAT scores (High School Applicants)
- (if scores appear on the back of your high school transcript, no additional documents are necessary)
Two Letters of Recommendation
- One letter should be from a teacher you had in high school
- Second letter should be from a pastor, employer, coach, mentor, etc. Letters written by family members are not permitted.

- 2 pages or less and include any important information that was not in your application or essay (i.e., community service or volunteering, special clubs, work, etc.)

- The Student Aid Index (SAI) is a number calculated from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Your SAI can be found on your “FAFSA Submission Summary” under the “Eligibility Overview” tab.
