The end of the year is quickly approaching, and Greater Fayette Community Foundation is ready to assist you with your year-end giving. To provide you with the best service and ensure your charitable gifts qualify for a tax deduction, we’ve put together the following tips and important reminders.
To donate gifts to a Fund
- Charitable stock donation: Must be received in GFCF’s brokerage account (Cetera Investment Services, DTC#0701) by 4 p.m. Central on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Delivery periods can vary; please consult with your advisor to plan accordingly.
- Complex charitable asset donation: Please contact Susannah Mikulin, CEO, at susannah@greaterfayette.com by 5 p.m. Central on Friday, December 5, 2025.
- Charitable donation check: Must be postmarked on or before Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
- Wire transfer or ACH: Instruct your financial institution to wire your contribution to be delivered on or before Friday, December 26, 2025.
- Charitable donation online: Donate via the Donate tab of the donor portal on or before Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Make a grant from your Fund
- Submit your request by 5 p.m. Central on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

In order to streamline grant distributions, we will be issuing grants via ACH electronic transfer when possible. You can support this effort by providing an email and phone number for your contact at the receiving organization (if you have one) in your request.
Accounts Payable (AP) requests
- Request accounts payable check(s) by 11:59 p.m. Central on Monday, December 15, 2025.
- To streamline AP distributions, we will issue payments via ACH electronic transfer when possible. Please provide bank and vendor contact information when submitting your AP request. The last payments and checks for the year will be issued on Monday, December 22, 2025.
- AP requests submitted Tuesday, November 25 – Monday, December 1, 2025, will be distributed on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 (no AP Thanksgiving week).
- AP requests submitted from Wednesday, December 24, 2025– Thursday, January 1, 2026, will be distributed on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
- We are unable to issue any rush payments.

Holiday hours
Our team is available to support your needs from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Foundation’s physical office is open by appointment to provide in-person support.
Our office will be closed for business on Nov. 26 – 28, Dec. 24-26, Dec. 31 and Jan 1.
